The United Arab Emirates presented the establishment of a Golf -Ski federation during his participation in the annual meetings of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), held in Vilamoura, Portugal. The initiative is intended to promote the development of winter sports in the Golf region.
The proposition received Widepretad support from FIS members, who welcomed the initiative and their support for the formation of the federation, collecting the promising potential to promote skiing in the golf countries.
The VAE participates in the meetings – which were opened on 5 May and Tomrorow concludes – in Ski Dubai, with participation from more than 48 countries.
The FIS meetings also contain the second edition of the Seminar entitled “Bridging the Gaps: Building Even Sports Leadership Together”, which emphasized the preservation of biodiversity as an important pillar of sustainability in sport. The seminar included representatives of 35 national federations, in line with the dedication of the VAE to support regional and worldwide skiing.
