
New Disney Theme Park comes to Abu Dhabi.
The Walt Disney Co. announces on Wednesday that you have reached an agreement with compelling legal and experiences Company Miraral to take refuge in Yas Island in the United Arab Emirates.
This will be the seventh theme carting of Disney and it will be fully developed and built by Miral. Disney’s imaginers will lead creative design and operational supervision of the project. The entertainment giant will not invest capital in the project, but will pick the benefits of royalties.
The development in Abu Dhabi is not part of the $ 60 billion that Disney has argued in IT theme parks in the following decade.
“This is an exciting moment for our company, because we announce plans to build an exciting Disney themaparkesort in Abu Dhabi, who is rich in a rating for art and creativity,” said Disney CEO Bob Iger, in a statement. “As our seventh Theme Park destination, it will rise in spectacularly way and combine contemporary architecture with advanced technology to offer Guets deep compelling entertainment experiences in unique and modern ways.”
Iger said on Wednesday in an interview with David Faber of CNBC, which imagineers have already started designing the park. I have decided to indicate when the company expects the park to open.
“We don’t pin a date yet,” he said. “It usually takes us between 18 and two years to design and to develop it in full and to convert for about five years, but we are not making any obligations now.”
The announcement came after Disney reported to Top- and Bottom-Line Beat for his tax second quarter, with his experience of business believers, cruises and resorts, as well as consumer products that reported 6%-over-IR sales growth of 6%.
The segment represented 37% of the company’s total turnover in public prosecutor 2024 and almost 60% of its operational inome.

IGer told CNBC that the company started watching the region for the first time as a potential new resort location in 2017 or 2018, but COVID and a CEO change delayed the extension in the VAE.
Disney notes that about a third of the world’s population lives within a four -hour flight of the VAE and that the region has a addressable tourist market of around 500 million visitors.

Yas Island is a hub of entertainment and shopping experiences. It is already the home base of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Seaworld Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and the Formula 1 Yas Marina Circuit. The area also organizes the Larest shopping center of Abu Dhabi and a award -winning golf course.
After completion, the new Disney Park will have accommodations and unique eating and shopping experiences that tell Disney’s stories and the futuristic and cultural essence of Abu Dhabi.
“It will be much bigger than everything there is currently,” d’Amaro teased on CNBC.
