During GITEX Global 2025, HONOR signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zayed University, marking a major step toward fostering AI education, research, and innovation in the UAE. At the TechTalks 24 forum, Debo Zhang, HONOR’s General Manager for the GCC region, delivered an insightful keynote titled “Empowering Users Against AI Deepfakes.” He introduced HONOR’s new on-device deepfake detection technology, one of the first of its kind in the smartphone industry. The feature allows real-time deepfake detection while ensuring user privacy and data protection remain uncompromised.
