Dubai, UAE – October 13, 2025: The world’s largest technology exhibition, GITEX Global 2025, opened its doors at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), drawing thousands of innovators, tech enthusiasts, and industry leaders from across the globe. The five-day event promises a glimpse into the future of artificial intelligence, mobility, and digital transformation.

A Grand Opening with Global Attention

From the moment doors opened, visitors were greeted by AI-powered robots, smart cars, and futuristic innovations showcasing how technology is shaping everyday life.   • AI-Powered Smart Car to Detect Visa Violators: The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) unveiled an AI-driven smart vehicle equipped with six high-resolution cameras capable of identifying visa and residency violators in real time.
  • Safety System for Delivery Riders: A new AI-based safety initiative was introduced to monitor delivery drivers and reduce accident rates across the city, with the goal of cutting incidents by half.
  • Robots Steal the Show: Humanoid robots roamed the halls, interacting with attendees, performing routines, and demonstrating advances in human–machine communication — a crowd favorite throughout the day.
  • Traffic and Parking Woes: The high turnout led to congested roads and packed parking lots around DWTC. Some visitors reported paying up to Dh400 per day for parking, prompting others to opt for the Dubai Metro instead.
  • Leadership Visits: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the event and toured major pavilions, accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed.
