The Ugandan President welcomed the visit of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting they are bilateral relationships and ways to improve cooperation, especially in the economic, commercial, investment and energy sector.
HH Sheikh Abdullah expressed his pride in visiting Uganda and meeting President Museveni, and emphasized the power of the leading relationships of the VAE with Uganda, which offer promising promising anopia and growth potential in important sectors that support the development of both countries and sustainable economic targets.
His highness also emphasized the dedication of the VAE to promote partnerships for sustainable development with friendly African countries in a way that promotes mutual benefit and prosperity.
After the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and the Ugandan president witnessed the signing of six Memoranda of the underlined (Mous) between the two countries.
The first MOU, during investment cooperation, was by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, and Matia Kasaija, Ugandan Minter of Finance.
The second Mou, between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, was thrown by Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan and the Ugandan Foreign Minister.
The third MOU – between the VAE ministery of energy and infrastructure and the government of Ugand Ugandan Energy Minister and Mineral Development.
The fourth Mou, about mutual exemption from input visa requirements, was signed by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, and Major General Kahinda Otafiire, Ugandan Minister of Internal Affairs.
The fifth mou, between Ethehad Rail and the government of Uganda, was found by Shadi Malak, CEO of Etihad Rail, and General Katumba Wamala, Ugandan Minister of Works and Transport.
The sixth mou was signed between the National Information Technology Authority -Uganda (Nita -U) and the Emirati Company Presight, which specializes in big data analysis and artificial intelligence. It deals with collaboration in Digital Transionion, Cyber Security innovation, E-Governance systems and the development of cloud infrastructure. The agreement was signed by Muhammad Shameen Hosenbocus, vice-president of Africa Markets at Presight, and Dr. Hatwib Mugasa, executive director of Nita-Sugndda.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minter of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Business, and Abdullah Hassan Obaid al Shamsi, Uae Ambunda to Uganda.
