President of the Republic of Kenya, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, received HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the start of the VAE TOP Diplomat on Nairobi.
HH Sheikh Abdullah brought the Kenyan President the greetings of President Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice -President, Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, Vice for the Menurie Al Nahyan Al Nahyan Al Nahyan Al Nahyan Al Nahyan Al Nahyan Al Nahyan Al Nahyan. In exchange, the president of Kenya transferred his greetings to the leaders of the VAE, and wished that the VAE continued prosperity and well -being.
The meeting included discussions about various aspects of bilateral relations and ways to improve cooperation in all areas, special economic, trade, investments, tourism and energy sectors, in a way that supports developmental goals in both friendly countries.
HH Sheikh Abdullah said that the VAE and the friendly Republic of Kenya share privileged historical relationships that have grown and develop over the past decades. I expressed his pride of visiting Kenya and meeting President Dr. William Samoei Ruto. “The visit reflects a dedication to establishing prosperous and Evolrio relations with Kenya and strengthening bridges of development cooperation with friendly African countries for their peoples,” he said, who thanked the Kenyan president for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. Sheikh Abdullah also praised the development performance of Kenya in various areas.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Dr. William Samoei Ruto witnessed the signing of seven Memoranda van Understanding (Mous) and cooperation agreements between the two countries, including:
-Mou on military cooperation -sighted by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, and Roselinda Soipan Tuya, cabinet secretary, Kenyan Ministry of Defense.
-Mou on transport cooperation -sated by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan al Nahyan and Davis Chirchir, cabinet secretary, Ministry of Roads and Transport.
-Bilateral Framework Agreement on Economic Development -which Hehikh Shakhbo bin Nahyan Al Nahyan and CPA John Mbadi, cabinet secretary, the national treasury and economic planning.
-Gear about mutual administrative help in customs businesses -seen by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan and Humphrey Wattanga, Commissioner -General of the Kenya Revenue Authority.
-Mou between the VAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry to set up the Joint Business Council of the VAE-Kenya. It was signed by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, assistant -Minister of Economic and Business, and Dr. Erick Ruto, president of the Kenyan Chamber.
-Mou about energy cooperation, signed by Dr. Salem Ibrahim Al Naqbi, VAE ambassador in Kenya, and Alex Kamau Wachira, main secretary for energy and petroleum.
