Mansoor bin Mohammed leads UAE delegation at 37th meeting of GCC National Olympic Committee Presidents – Sports – Olympics

HH Sheikh mansor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, president of the National Olympic Committee of the VAE, led the delegation of the VAE who participated in the 37th meeting of the presidents of the Olympic Committee of the Cow of the Gulf Cooperation Organization.

The delegation of the VAE included Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sport, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee and chairman of the Executive Office; Dr. Kill Hamed to Neyadi, ambassador of the Vae van Kuwait; Faris Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee; And Noura Hassan Al Jasmi, board member of the committee.

The meeting approved the proposal of the VAE to the inaugural Sports Act and Management Conference in 2026, which is based on themes that have been proactively developed by the National Olympic Committee. Inte includes: the Olympic Charter – between the present and the future (legislative changes and their impact on sports government and management); Sports management in the digital age (legal challenges and prospects for smart government); The future of sports legislation (balance between integrity and regulatory independence); Dispute settlement in Olympic sports (sports arbitrage and contemporary legislation); Financing and transparency in Olympic sport (legal frameworks and research guuisnance); And legal challenges within the framework of the Olympic Charter.

It was also agreed to find an active participation of the GCC Member State in the conference by submitting research documents and case studies that are displayed distinctive legal and administrative practices in the region. Discussions that have added financing strategies for the event underline the importance of partnerships with private sector and government institutions to introduce a worldwide collection that has been delivered according to the highest professional standards. The use of advanced technologies in the organization of the event was also terminated, interactive applications, live streaming and digital platforms to broaden involvement and maximize the impact.

The meeting also endorsed the coordination between the general secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the VAE, in its capacity as chairman of the country for the coming Therm and represented by the National Olympic Committee, to determine the date and location for the 38th meeting of presidents of the GC Olympic Comités. This meeting is preceded by the high school of the executive office.

As part of the procedure of the 37th meeting, the executive office and auxiliary committees were imposed to revise the final report of the 3rd GCC Beach Games, organized by the Sultanate or Oman. The report will be guaranteed for aspects, challenges and recommendations of the technical and organization, with appropriate actions.

The meeting also approved the state of Qatar as a host of the 4th GCC sports games in 2026 and emphasized the need for extensive technical and logistical support of the Gulf Olympic committees on the host country. It further underlined the importance of improving women’s participation, in accordance with the principles of inclusive and equality between GCC sports competitions.

The request that was submitted by the Kuwait Olympic Committee to organize the 2nd GCC youth competitions in 2028 was also approved, with the emphasis on strict compliance with cross-age regulations to realize fairness and competition balance in the participating birth. The meeting also emphasized the importance of incororative and cultural programms that, where possible, to strengthen sports and Olympic values ​​among young people. Support for female participation was also confirmed again, in accordance with the wider dedication of the GCC to authorize young golf women in sport.

The planning, coordination and follow-up committee was authorized to continue the preparations for the upcoming GCC multisport events for the 2029 to 2032, which is coordinating with international and regional sports calendars.

Participants also investigated ways to maximize the impact of the uniform digital platform for the sports of the Gulf Women, with the aim of being its substantiated success. The meeting approved the provision of full support from the Olympic committees of the GCC member state, allowing the platform to achieve its objectives. The Member State will offer the Executive Committee of the Platform all needy data with regard to its digital identity, together with information about sports facilities and orientation points of tourism in the GCC. These will serve as important components in promoting sports tourism among platform users.

The meeting approved the organization of the Sporthackathon of the Gulf Women as an annual or periodic initiative well under the supervision of the Advisory Committee for Women’s Sports. The initiative aims to promote innovation in the sector and promoting participation by promoting multidisciplinary teams of the Member State. Participants receive support in the form of training and engagement opportunities, including workshops and advice sessions during the Hackathon to guide projects and find knowledge exchange with experts. Awards are awarded to winning entries and viable solutions are supported for implementation at GCC level. The results of the Hackathon will be a document, and innovative ideas distributed via digital platforms to improve visibility and the long -term impact.
