Walt Disney World fans have become anxious on a “answer” on the big opening of the Epic Universe on May 22, 2025 or during the Memorial Day Summer Kickoff. We now have a partial responsibility, as WDW President Jeff Vahle Universal Orlando has congratulated on the “Big Win” of opening the new park.

As we will discuss below, the message remains a rich tradition of stylish congratulatory messages among the competitors. This is when Universal Orlando launches from his third theme park in Central Florida, which was opened to the public to the public last night on Thursday 22 May 2025 after Gala event for VIPs and Select Media. It also occurs in the field of “Cool Kid Summer” in Walt Disney World from 27 May, of which I doubt whether anyone who is not deep in the Disney blogosphere has even heard.
Vahle is not the only one who congratulated Universal Orlando on the Herculean performance and the successful opening and its impact on the Sunshine State has celebrated. Governor of Florida, Ron Desantis, was present during the Grand Gala event to launch Epic Universe the night before the public opening.
Desantis shared a video in the field of Epic Universe on social media in which the “Long-AOWN New Theme Park in Central Florida” praised. I have the park “pretty surprising” and says that children would really enjoy Epic Universe and that he would “recommend”, you definitely recommend it. “Desantis praised the countries of Epic Universe and the creative teams for performing Es Great Vision Vry well.
The government also praised the positive economic impact of the EPIC universe and explained that the project was announced in 2019, and that “billions and billions” that were spent on construction to bring the park to life. That it was a “Hage impact economic for Florida, but more important than that, it was about giving many memories of children.” Desantis closed this message by saying congratulations to Universal Orlando on the Grand Opening of Epic Universe.
As you undoubtedly know, Desantis and Disney had a public battle with regard to lawsuits and heated rhetoric over the course of several years. This was eventually resolved last year, whereby the parties established the lawsuits, shake leadership in the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District and agreed with new investments in several billions of dollars in Florida.
Before someone claims that the Epic Universe government was about “holding it again to Disney” – –It wasn’t. The parties made up for it and Desantis, you talked about the billions of dollars in planned investing at Walt Disney World. I would be completely present for a big opening in Walt Disney World on the same footing with Epic Universe … Not The kick -off to “Cool Kid Summer”, because that is a bit below his wage rate.
As noted in the opening, the consequence message of Jeff Vahle is partly the question of what Walt Disney World will do as an immediate responsibility for the epic universe. That said, what else will Disney do? Is there still a big announcement in the Peline?

As for substantive news, our opinion is that they would not make an attempt to steal the spotlight.
One of the things we have emphasized for Year Is that Walt Disney World did not announce a 5th port as an Asherer to Epic Universe. Not on May 22 or this decade. It is that you are far -fetched that we did not even entertain the idea and quickly downloaded in all messages such as this one. Ironically enough, the Walt Disney company Argulay Held Prepare songs for an answer to Epic Universe in the form of a new theme park. Just not in Walt Disney World, not even in the United States. It will not be assembled as such as someone who reads and is clear, is not competition in the conventional sense of the term, but Disneyland Abu Dhabi offered indirect “fear” to the Epic Universe for Wall Street earlier these months.
To be clear, that news is actually just an (indirect!) Answer for investors and analyzes that drool the prospects of more theme parks, so they finally have food to do, they do a stable and profitable company. Literally there are no fans to visit this year or following on Epic Universe, or to Disneyland Abu Dhabi when it opened in the mid -2030s.
So something else Ash Walt Disney World’s More direct answer to Epic Universe in the month of May 2025?
My feeling is that there is a radio silence from Walt Disney World by Memorial Day, with absolute nothing done to try to steal the spotlights from the epic epic universe. First and Fortnost, the best will not be effective. One thing we have stressed for Year–Long Before Disney publicly spoke about Epic Universe -Is that the only thing that can really ‘answer’ at a new theme park … another new theme park. And because we knew that Walt Disney World did not try to build a 5th gate, we can assume that their best strategy might remain quiet at the weekend.
Every news announced in the coming days will be buried under Covenge or Universal Orlando’s Third Theme Park. It would also make Disney small. About the only exception to this I can think of is whether Walt Disney World has negative News and it wants to “switch off the transh” 22-23 May 2025. So maybe this is the holiday weekend that we finally get a closing date for the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island? Now That Wouldn’t surprise me at all, and the timing is about good.
Looking forward, I would focus on 27 May 2025 for more modern news from Walt Disney World.
We already know that Boch -Schurken ever unfair after and Little Mermaid a musical adventure, two -stage shows in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, debut on that date. Moreover, “Cool Kid Summer” kicks offon, which means new Meet & Greets, and so on. Nothing nature.
We Still Don’t have a debut date for Disney Starlight Night Parade, which would be the anchor of the summer season in Walt Disney World. It is our understanding that there have been several internal delays in this project and Disney throws all possible means in this parade to prepare it as quickly as possible. Rest sure, Disney is not on his hands with this instead, it is an all -hands on deck sition.
Accordingly, if so Possibly To have an opening date for Starlight by 27 May, I would expect the announcement on that date. This will only happen if the entertainment team is convinced that it can touch as a date. Starlight sounds like it will be a race against the clock, so we may not get a date until the absolute last minute. But if there was ever a strategic time to announce the Starlight opening date, it would be 27 May 2025. On balance I would say that the Probabry 60/40 is that we will get a date on Tuesday (or maybe Wednesday morning).
Two other opening date Jokertjes are Test Track 3.0 at EPCOT and the Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern in Magic Kingdom. It is possible that we get dates for all three, where Walt Disney World tries to create a new marketing campaign to weave the trio together.
To be honest, I’m skeptical about that happens. At least, for Testbaan. My belly says that the project will take longer. I have zero inside -Info -I Justino of what Disney has publicly released -but I am skeptical that it will be re -conceived ride during this summer tourist season. I think it will be after the working day and still believe that October 1, 2025 is the favorite.
Returning to the title topic, I want to conclude by sharing the rich history of this collegiality between the “rival” theme parks. This is remarkable with Know’s Berry Farm (Upper) and Disneyland Training Congratulation newspaper advertisements in the Los Angeles Times And Orange County Register Decades long.
The most recent digital copy of this that I could trace came from a few years ago when former Disneyland -President and current Parks chairman Josh d’Araro shared this on Instagram: “Congratulations to my friend Jon Storbeck and the whole team of Knott’s Berry Berry Berry Berry Berry!
There is also a precedent for the same with Universal. There are many cases of managers and imaginers who attend large openings -from the recent Super Nintendo World in Hollywood to Eisner in Islands of Adventure. Because many people within the two ‘competitors’ have worked for this and have annual passages for the parks where they are currently not working.
Speaking of this, we have heard of various imaginers who attended Epic Universe reviews and Vray printed with the new park of Universal Orlando. Of course you should not expect public comments from management or creatives about this, but Epic Universe already serves as inspiration for Disney’s teams that work on new projects.
Here it is hoped that this translates into budgetary “inspiration” in addition to creative inspiration. I am not sure if Bob Iger or Josh d’Azaro have visited Epic Universe – I suspect that I have not seen the tense relationship between Iger and Comcast CEO Brian Roberts. But I know several imaginers and TDO leaders who have been present, and it is safe to say that dozens have visited Epic Universe in recent months. But I wander.
In the end it is good to see that Walt Disney World shows graneness by congratulating Universal with Epic Universe, to underline the belief that “an emerging tide cancel all boats.” Disney had no cards they could play that the Thunder of Universal steal, but this at least makes them part of the conversation in a positive way.
