Summer arrived in full force in Walt Disney World, with temperatures in the mid -90s this week together with triple figures “Feels Like” values. These bays of a few recent movements that apparently offer guets, exhausting the high heat, humidity and blazing sun. Moreover, our thoughts about the summers in Central Florida and why more repetitions of the weather are needed – possibly even a complete Inside- At Epcot Festival!
Let’s start with the most important news to share, namely that Walt Disney World has revealed that today the Odyssey pianist will debut the indoor location and offer guests an Air-Conteded Environment and live piano versions the day.
This gives Guets a change to take a break from the summer heat and to enjoy live music in the Odyssey pavilion in Epcot, which is located between Testbaan and the Mexico pavilion. The Odyssey used to be a good restaurant, but you have served as a center and more recently as a crowd-tracksing food booths festival. It is run when the citrus blossom ended during Flower & Garden Jus, and it will be converted the brewing laboratory prior to the start of the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival during the working day weekend (whole this ending 10 August).
The Odyssey -Pianist will perform seven sets every day:
- 11:30 am
- 12.30 pm
- 1:30 pm
- 2.30 pm
- 3.30 pm
- 4.30 pm
- 5:30 pm
Although the Odyssey -Pianis do not represent a new entertainment offer at EPCOT, because the performer normally performed in the Rose & Crown Pub in World Showcase, it is a smart and welcome. At least, from the perspective as parents – maybe we would feel different about this news ~ 15 years ago.
This follows Walt Disney World Opening the Hall of Presidents Lobby-But not the attraction itself–Pressumlay for a similar place for guests to collect and escape the heat. The Trys there are really very clear, because nothing is communicated to guests.
Regarding the EPCOT change, it is much more logical and the purpose of the change is clear. Rose & Crown is usually closed. It is uncomfortably busy, varies a lot that is reminiscent of a pub that we used to visit at the university. So I think that part is authentic (although our “culture” was Indiana in contrast to the United Kingdom). We are currently wandering in Rose & Crown Probablay about once a year and usually back immediately. I think we have just grown old, but that is no longer our scene.
Rose & Crown Pub is busy with or without the pianist. And it’s a fairly small space, so it’s not like a ton of people can enjoy the music in the first place. Id Hazard, on the other hand, that the Odysse has changed the capacity on Tuesday and will be much better as a callmg reprive of the crowd, chaos, heat and humidity.
In a perfect world, Walt Disney World would add a pianist instead of moving a Rose & Crown. The ‘Forces of Nature’ Acrobatics Show in World Celebration helps its last performance (after staying Much longer than I once expected), and it would be nice if the sum of that entertainment budget was again assigned to immersion.
While the news is the vehicle for this pos More of this.
After a brutal summer trip last year before the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, we excluded the months of June to August for future family holidays. We should have followed our own advice and wondering if it is “worthwhile” to visit during the most popular months of the year in exchange for lower crowds.
Admittedly, we almost made the same mistake again. We had planned an Epic Universe trip of the opening day, but canceled it. And after the opening date of Starlight Night Parade was announced, I pushed ourselves for all three to make the trip to Walt Disney World, so that for the first time we could see the new nostalgia fuel as a family. Cooler heads (read: Sarah’s) prevailed, but I would have repeated the same mistake if I had left my own devices.
Not that I long for the days of the accepted reopening, but one of the things that Walt Disney World did that we appreciated were relaxation stations. These were introduced in the much -needed respite of masking in the heat of Florida, and largely recovered spaces to use.
Sub of those who again have a permanent goal, but others could again serve as summer lounges. For example, I am not a suere of the current status of Turtuga Tavern or Tomorrowland Terrace, but I do know that I have seen Bose Bose seats completely closed during recent visits. (I understand that they have to free up Tomorrowland Terrace prior to fireworks, but there is no reason to chase people at 1 p.m.)
Both Liège restaurants can at least be put on the map on the map. Even ifse selepe areas currently accessible have guests know that in the Cracst Paca-it it must be convinced through signposting, in-app info or sumthing they are in. Internship an outside switching card or what is left at their entrance, and welcome guests inside to enjoy shady seats in a relaxed setting. This would be a win-win, in which food and monitor sales are easily recorded and at the same time offers a delay of the weather.
There are a shortage of under -utilized or flat unused spaces such as these around Walt Disney World. With Epcot, the Odyssey is only an example. There are also two Hage Indoor locations – World Showplace and the Wonders Pavilion – which are usually unused. Miracles may be off the table, because it was previously the Play Pavilion, to project that was paused indefinitely. I would not be the least surprised if it is now an abandoned construction site. However, that is not the case with World Showplace.
For those who are not familiar with the World Showplace, it was the Millennium Village, the primary house of Walt Disney World’s Millennium Celebration from 1999 to 2001. The starting way more than 50 provinces who had no permanent reprisals in World Showcase. Among the nations were Brazil, Chile, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Israel, Kenya, Namibia, Nieuw -Zeeland, Scotland, South Africa and Switzerland.
World Showplace offers more than 40,000 square feet of flexible function space and has capacity for around 2,000 guests. That is higher than the per hour throughput of most journeys in Epcot! Disney -Meetings promotes World Showplace as “The world’s Larganoor Group facility in a theme park.” It is sufficient to say that it is huge.
I mention World Showplace Spectifly Scholary It was used during the ‘Taste of’ Epcot events during the reopening of the pass as a festival center, with a handful of different food cabins and entertainment. It was glorious.
And that was just a fraction of his full potential. Since this was before Whole Festival if correctly staged. It can be home to half a dozen or more food cabins plus tables plus entertainment. There may be company fights about this proposition, because Disney meetings and fairy-tale weddings use it, but the events can exist next to a festival after hours. And I cannot imagine that there are many conventions that use between June and August World Showplace.
I call the World Showplace -fair. It could be the key to finally fulfill my dream of a summer festival on Epcot. I understand that one explanation for Both The shorter festivals And The lack of a summer festival is a high heat. That high number of guests and cast members faint every summer, which is due to the festival. In the case of the cast members it is because the conditions within the kiosks. (Years Aug, this is the explanation we have heard because of the lack of a summer event – but we assumed that it was wrong when Walt Disney World and wine started to expand to summer.)
In short, the playbook already exists for what Walt Disney World Should have to Do indoors with relaxation areas. It comes from the relaxation stations, taste of Epcot events and more. In addition to World Showplace, there is also the potential to use attraction space as a flex option. I bury this here Becka, it is controversial with diehard fans, but change the American Rotunda Adventure of Canada, far into dynamic spaces are a victory – keep playing the films and allows open access to eating and drinking.
There is a reason why the summer is no longer high season in Walt Disney World, and that is not for a while. This is a reality that is finally being chained, and reflected in attited discount and more. But deals can only do as much as the guest experience is miserable due to high heat and humidity in combination with the confusing design decision to have little inland streams of the weather. Walt Disney World can reverse this trend by opening shutter spaces and actively welcome Guets. The Odyssey pianist is a small step in the right direction – hopefully we will see a lot like this in the coming summers!
