The Royal Stables and UAE Equestrian & Racing Federation Host Press Conference to Launch Para Dressage Performance Programme

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 11one April 2025 – The Royal Stables in Abu Dhabi organized the official press conference yesterday and launched the UAE for dressage performance program with the UAE Equestrian & Racing Federation. Held in the historic Sheikh Zayed Majlis, the event marked a crucial moment in the journey from the country to building a competitive VAE for dressage team for the Paralympic Games of 2028 in Los Angeles.

The for Dressage Performance Program has been announced for the first time, a groundbreaking initiative design to enable athletes of determination and offers structured development route to the International Competence. With its roots in the founding vision of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the program emphasizes the continuous dedication of the Royal Stables of inclusion, talent development and sporting excellence in the VAE.

The launch event has senior figures for equestrian, media and stakeholders of the VAE government entities for people of determination for a press conference Introduction Introduction The scope of the program, the leadership team and the long -term ambitions and the long -term ambitions together. Dr. Ghanem Al Hajri, Secretary General of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, addressed participants in on behalf of the Federation, who confirm their commitment to inclusion, cooperation and development of athlete in the long term. Dr. Al Hajri also pressed confidence for dressage as the next large growth discipline in the VAE, and in the potential of VAE athletes to reach the world stage.

Laura Richardson, performance manager of the Dressage Performance Program, thanked the Royal Stables for their vision and sketched how the initiative is already underway, with assessments of early athlete. She emphasized that the program is not only recommended to achieve sporting success, but also to create permanent opportunities for athletes of determination. With clear milestones, including the Asian championships and Asian competitions, the goal of reaching Los Angeles 2028 is now moving firmly.

Dr. Russell MacKechnie-Huare, Technical Lead of the for Dressage Performance Program, resulted in a complete address in which the initiative will be poured into coaching, sports medicine and biomechanical analysis guided by science. Based on almost two decades of experience working with Paralympic athletes, Dr. MacKechnie-Hiare are excitement for the development of the VAE drivers and to help them at the performance of elite level on the world stage.

The launch also offered guests a look at the future house of the VAE for dressage team. The extensive redevelopment of the Royal Stables includes new Binnenarena, clubhouse, accommodation and treatment facilities. Central to the training program are two Racewood -Redimulators – highly advanced tools that are used in leading equestrian sports countries to support the development and accessibility of the rider. The simulators ensure fully usual positioning and analysis, which offers an essential training step for para-athletos, in addition to the Arena work with the team dressage horses.

Prayer by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), because dressage is the only equestrian discipline that is undertaken in the Paralympic Games, where it has been on display since 1996. The sport follows a Grad classification system to realize fair and competitive participation over a wide range of disorders.
