
This has always been my favorite career in Dubai’s racing calendar. There is a great atmosphere and a great sense of the career community celebrating our biggest social event of the year! The course is complicated with bridges, an underground step and many turns and turns, but that is compensated by the incredible views of the sun that rise on the “old” Dubai.
This was the third time this race ran, but the first time he executes it with a racing plan. My career plan began conservatively, but increased at speed every 5 km. This resulted in a very pleasant first half … Then, finally, I was running faster than my 10 km race rhythm.
The negative divisions have never lost something that I really tried before. However, planning them has really helped me in many ways. In the past, he used to start “fast” and pray to be able to endure with variable results, but always resulted in unnecessary suffering.
Starting slowly felt bad sometimes, especially when everyone accelerates is adjusted to the beginning. But ultimately, I felt very comfortable and strong during the race and ended up feeling happy with my time and effort. I even ended up surprising and ran faster than expected.
My career plan also included nutrition tips. Usually, I ran easted, but I had the challenge of having a small breakfast of toast and honey. Then, he had a gel every 20 minutes alternating with caffeine gels at 40 minutes and 80 minutes.
In general, the racing plan also helped me break the careers mentally. I focused on obtaining the right pace, accelerating at the right times and obtaining the nutrition I needed. He helped take time.
