Simple, airy donuts recipe
Thanks to @Nutritionally.stript, I will share for a recipe for super easy, baked, incredibly soft, naturally sitting and Nutrionus Donuts. The non-secret ingredient is sweet potato! Even if you are not the biggest fan of sweet potatoes, I am sure you will keep them in donut form. Pureed sweet potato will act as a replacement for the oil and butter that you would normally use. It adds moisture to the donuts and is the reason for the natural sweetness that you will taste.
Use those remaining sweet potatoes
I love this recipe and is a great way to use all the remaining sweet potatoes that you may have roasted or baked before meals. I always overestimate howles sweet potatos my husband and I can eat and we end with 1 or 2 extras, which is handy the amount you need for this recipe!

Makes 6 – 7 Donuts
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of oatmeal (or a cup of old -fashioned oats in a food processor ground)
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- ¼ nutmeg TSP
- ¼ teaspoon of soil ginger
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- ½ cup of puree sweet potatoes (cans canned or por about 1 medium -sized potato everywhere with a fork and bake for 400 ° f/200 ° C for 45 minutes until they are soft to stamp, or put it for 5 – 7 minutes in the microwave)
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 TBSPS Milk of your choice
- 1 Ripe Medum Banana (ORI ½ cup of AppleSEUCE)
- ½ cup of maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 350 ° F/180 ° C and lightly grease a donut pan.
- Combine oatmeal, salt and herbs in a bowl.
- Combine in a small bowl of baking powder and vinegar, the set has helped.
- In a food processor, mix the puree sweet potato, milk, banana, maple syrup, egg and vanilla extract.
- Combine dry ingredients, wet ingredients and baking powder mixture.
- Pour around 4 TBSPs into the greased donut wells.
- Bake for about 25 minutes and let it cool completely before they have removed them from the pan.
- Choose the topping that you prefer, I dipped each donut in melted dark chocolate (5 squares of 70% dark chocolate bar melted in a microwave safe bowl with a teaspoon of coconut oil), she immersed them in finely ground raw almonds.
- You can also mix 2 TBSPs coconut sugar with 1 tbsp milk and the mix over the baked donut as another topping option!
