Adani Abruptly Terminates DragonPass Lounge Access Deal

Adani Airport Holdings Limited has abruptly terminated his partnership with Dragonass at the Global Airport Lounge Access Provider, based in China, only a week after the cooperation announced. The termination, effectively immediately, means that Dragonpass customers no longer have access to lounge on adani-managed airports. The company was convinced that the travel experiences of other customers will not remain.

The partnership, known to be facilitated on 8 May 2025 by Adani Digital Labs, a digital expansion of Aahl and Adani Enterprises Ltd. It gave DragonPass access to all Adani Airport lounges and important lounges throughout India. Dragonpass, with head office in Guangzhou, China, internationally with offices in Asia and the UK. The British branch, Dragonass International Limited, is a complete subsidiary of the Chinese parent company.

The decision to end the partnership was quickly taken, although further details reasons why the reasons behind the abrupt termination were not announced. This fast move emphasizes a sudden change in Adani’s strategic alliances as the Airport Service offer.

Adani is currently operating seven airports in India, including those in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Luckknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram, and is developing a new airport in Navi Mumbai. The termination of the Dragonass Partnership means strategic shift in the activities of Adani’s Airport Services.

In 2024, Adani Airport Holdings LTD was confronted with disruptions in access to the lounge at airports throughout India because of the suspension of services by Dreamfolks Services Ltd. To alleviate the impact on passengers, Aahl allowed Lounges on Adani-First Airports to award maps of other access providers. The Lounge Access Provider, which cooperates with various banks, has violated its service agreements with the affected airports.

Adani Group has also investigated partnerships to improve its Airport Lounge Services. The company is in conversation with the Hong Kong -based Plaza Premium Group to lead airport lounges in India through a joint venture, aimed at increasing hospitality standards. Premium Group Plaza has an international footprint at 80 airports in 30 countries.

Adani One and Icici Bank launched India’s first co-branded maps with airport-linked benefits in collaboration with Visa. Available in two variants – The Adani One Icici Bank Signature Cardit card and the Adani One Icici Bank Platinum -credit card – The maps offer a significant reward program. Card holders earn a maximum of 7% Adani reward points on purchases within the Adani Group Ecosystem, bookings on the Adani One app, Adani-Managed Airports, CNG pumps, electricity accounts and the trainman platform. Advantages include free airline tickets, premium lounge access, pranaam measurement and desire service, valet parking and discounts at tax-free stores and airport food and beefge sales points.
