The largest sporting event in Japan wants to embrace itself in the United Kingdom with the second edition of 10-person relay that drama brings to the finish line of a difficult challenge
Formost seven hours, 10 of the best runners in Oxford University, including the Olympic marathoner Jared Ward 2016, led to 114.8 km from Windsor to Reading and Back.
Then, just after celebrating, it was bad news for them. They were disqualified for an illegal sash transfer during the second FT Nikkei UK Ekiden and the trophy was handed over to Japanese Ritzumeikan University, which had flown in to rop a guiling event that turns the loneliness of a long discence hardcarder upside down.
In Japan, Ekiden is the largest deals – think of the lines of the Grand National of Super Bowl, an event where people don’t usually meet in the sport around the TV and everyone suddenly is an expert.
The concept is simple – a relay where instead of bat runners hand over wings, known as Tasuki. And now a group led by Anna Dingley and with the support of a handful of high-profile sponsors is looking for the concept in Great Britain.

Last Friday’s event BroBcht 16 University and 15 companies together on a punishing course that penetrates all kinds of terrain and astonishing landscape, nominal after the Thames Path.

The 29C -Hitte did not make it easier Eithher. But they still love to hate it, this will remain memorable for a long time. In a sport where your own performance is always in itself, working as a team is not only new, but also a possession of things that are still coming.
