The VAE has the best global ranking in the telecommunications infrastructure index, the institutional framework for digital government and the digital content index, according to the second edition of the “State of Digital Transformion Report”. The report was released by the higher committee of the VAE for the government that transformed the recent retreat for digital readiness.
The report emphasizes the digital performance of the VAE government in 12 important sectors, including the economy, finance, human resources, health, education, community development, culture and youth, immigration and foreign affairs, safety and justice, infrastructure and energy, logistics and the environment.
Ohood Bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Foreign Minister for Government Development and the Future in the Government of the VAE and chairman of the Commission, said that Digital Readless and Transformation are central to the vision of the VAE leadership, aimed at technology.
She has noted the report that last year keeps up with great digital performance and shows the leadership of the VAE in global competitiveness indices with regard to digital government. It is intended to motivate further efforts to achieve national digital goals.
The report notes that the VAE worldwide is the first in the UN indices stands for telecommunications -infrastructure, digital government framework, digital content and digital knowledge.
It was also at the top of the global “Government AI Readiness Index 2024” by Oxford Insights, was arranged third in the government service and became fourth place in Govtech Maturity Index according to the World Bank. The country came in 11th place in both the IMDs Digital Competitiveness Index and the E-Government Development Index.
Digital government efforts result in considerable efficiency gains, including AED368 billion saved for users and AED20 billion in government cost reductions. The translation also saved 530 million working hours and cut carbon finds with 55.8 million tons.
In 2024 alone, Federal VAE risks processed 173.7 million digital transactions. Federal websites attracted 131.5 million visits and government apps were downloaded 26.3 million times. In the digital government sector, 10.8 million people used the VAE pass, which now connects to 15,000 services and supports 2.6 billion integrated digital transactions. The financial processed sector 8,300 supplier registrations, 2,500 financial market employee accreditations and 1,000 extensions for foreign investment funds.
Human Resources saw 13.2 million activities allowing applications and 8 million employment contract transactions, with 1.2 million training house it supplied the “Jahiz” digital learning platform.
In health, 2 million regulations were filled with the help of robot screenings, 1 million X -rays of the breast were drivers that used artificial intelligence and 437,900 medical consultations were kept at a distance. The education sector supplied digital learning to 1.4 million people and processed 445,700 university course register.
Community Services answered 115,600 Digital questions and completed 243,800 Zakat and donation transactions, as well as 125,700 Digital requires for Fatwas and Zakat calculations. In Justice and Security, 4.2 million traffic payments, 1.5 million vehicle register and 417,800 Criminal Record certificate applications were digitally processed.
The sector processed by identity and residence 4.7 million Emirates ID extensions, 1.6 million residence in the private sector makes extensions possible EN 596,200 Digital document certificates. Infrastructure and logistics services completed 5,900 applications for housing aid, has allowed 68,500 National Transport and granted 3,000 licenses for nuclear activities.
In the environmental sector, the authorities processed 76,600 plant health certificates, 39,600 veterinary export certificates and 59,900 agricultural product transactions. 2,400 library memberships were published in the grow sector, 368 cultural artifacts were registered and 162 requirements for renting event space were fulfilled.
