The cabinet assessed the latest updates on the National Small and Medium Enterprises sector (SMEs). For the fourth consecutive year, the VAE was in first place according to the 2024-2025 report of the International Business Leadership Observatory, seventh worldwide on the Global Competitiveness Index 2024 and the 18th world under the 2024 top 100 emerging ecosystems ranking. The country witnessed a growth of more than 160% in the number of SME licenses issued between 2020 and 2024.
