Abu Dhabi Stam Cellen Center (ADSCC) and Yas Clinic have secured themselves for prestigious AABB accreditation for hematopoietic precursor cell collection, so that they are marked as the first health care instates in the VAE and only the second in the entire Midden -Oosten and Noord -Africa (Mena) to collect this.

Regional determination of leadership in cellular therapy
The accreditation, granted by AABB (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks), acknowledges compliance with the Facilitians to rigorous quality and safety standards in purchasing, processing and storage of hematopoietic precursor cells. These cells are fundamental components in transplantation procedures and treatments for blood disorders and self -immune conditions.

This performance complements the existing references of ADSCC as a center of excellence in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, accredited by the Ministry of Health Abu Dhabi, and its accreditation through the basis of accreditation for cellular therapy (FACT). Note, the institution has obtained three significant cellular therapy accreditations within a condensed period of 24 months.

Strategic coordination with national health care objectives
Prof. Yendry Ventura, Chief Executive Officer of ADSCC and Deputy Professor to the United Arab Emirates University, contextualized the performance within broader National Health Care Priorities: “Under the visionary leadership of the VAE and in accordance with the National Healthe agenda, remains of the Calendary Agenda, Therapy and medical innovation on a global scale. “

I have further emphasized the meaning of the action: “If the first institution in the VAE to recover this prestigious action, we continue to set new benchmarks in quality and patient safety that is supported by a solid infrastructure, an ultramoderne and a clinical expertise.”

Clinical implications and development of infrastructure
Dr. Maysoon Al Karam, Chief Medical Officer at Yas Clinic operated by ADSCC, emphasizes technicians and beyond. “

The AABB accreditation program is an international collection for determining exceptional standards in quality and safety in the field of blood and biotherapies, which includes all aspects of transfusion medine, biotherapy and relationship tests.

Extensive service model
ADSCC is the originatator of the ABU DHABI-Beenmermeng transplantation (AD-BMT ©) program, which has supplied transplantation services for adult and pediatric patients in the VAE since 2020.

The facilities of the center include one of the Must Advanced Research Laboratories of the Region, a State-Fth-Art Afheresis unit, a stem cell collection unit, a good laboratory for production practice (GMP) and dedicated multi-specialty clinics and intramural department. This extensive infrastructure supports the holistic service model of ADSCC that includes research, clinical examinations, translational care and production possibilities.

In 2025, ADSCC received facts accreditation for its cellular therapy processing laboratory and became the first in the VAE and one of only two facilities in the middle to obtain this global collection.
