Ahmed bin Mohammed chairs first meeting of newly formed Dubai Media Council; reviews progress of key strategic initiatives – UAE

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, second vice -ruler of Dubai and chairman of the Dubai Media Council, was chairman of the first meeting of the newly formed council, after the issue of Decree no. Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice -President and Premier of the Uae and Premier.

During the meeting, HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed assessed the progress of important initiatives that shape a new phase of growth in the media landscape of the emirate.

The Meeting was Attended by Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Council, Her Excellency Nehal Badri, Secretary General of the Council, and Other Members, Including His Excellency Malek Al Malek, Her Excellency Hala Badri, Her Excellency Aisha Mira, His Excellency Moham Mohammed Ali Lotah, His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, His Excellency Issam Kazim, His Excellency Mohamed Al Mulla, Abdullah Belhoul, Younus Al Nasser and Arif Amiri.

During the session, HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed set up the progress in implementing the results of the recent retreat of the film industry, which provided strategies to improve Dubai’s status as an important hub for making films.

Results of the retreat of the film industry

The Council also assessed the results of the film industry that was recently organized by the newly established committee, Dubai Films and Games. The discussions identified critical challenges and usable solutions to utilize the full potential of the industry.
