I find a curling iron with a clamp so much easier to use than a wand. There is a place for a curly wand, for Soute, but use curly ice with a clamp if you want an existing curl!

I have tested 5 different curling irons and have many thoughts about each of them. I hope this message is of service to you with the information you need before you make a curling iron purchase!

If you missed it, we have made a deep diving comparison for hair dryer and bladder tools. Now we are here at Curling Irons, and flat irons are next time!

T3 Curl ID 1.25 ”Smart Curling Iron – this is one of my different favorites! An example of it.

Hot Tools 24K Gold Professional Curling Iron – This iron has the most size options of the couple! Hot Tools is the brand of curling irons and hair dryers that I had in my beauty school kit when I started in high school. It is a reliable, strong brand that makes solid hair tools. I used this brand, albeit in a Marcel Iron, for all my brides when I did her as a stylist. It warms up quickly and works great! I think that barrel materials have been improved over time, so I would be a bit careful with metal barrel, but if you use a heat beater and the temperature drops, it should be good!

Manen handle with curling iron – this tool has an excellent price! I love the coated barrel because my hair glides through it easily. The heat setting that ends at 410 is great for must, but if you have a file against curly hair, you might want to be a bit hotter! In general, this is a solid curling iron that I have at the back time and time again.

Babylisspro Nano Titanium Spring Curling Iron – It’s hard to beat this price for such a great iron. I love my Babyliss tools, and they work really well on my hair. I find my curls softly and lots of loose when I find irons usesse, but I like that. I really like the adjustable heat dial, and tools also lasted for years and Yars for me!

GHD Curve Classic Curl Iron – if anyone tells me: “My hair doesn’t hold a curl”, I send them a link to this iron. It lives at 365 degrees and creates absolute perfect curls in the hair. The curls that I get by using this iron forever! It is really one of the best performing irons I used, and a different tool for beautiful quality.

In general, each of the curling has many pros and maybe a few disadvantages. I hope you can find a good fit for you, your hair and how you like to get it out of this list!
