UAE Organisations Among Top Honourees At ‘Humanthropy 2025’ – UAE Today Blog

The 21st edition of the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition – Dihad – concluded today under the patronage of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai.

This year’s edition, 137 nominations from 42 countries, the world scale and diversity of humanitarian efforts. The prices relate to 12 categories, which emphasize multiple service fields and impact.

Thomas Peter, head of the coordination platforms unit in Ocha Geneva, received the Humanthropy Spotlight Award, while Dubai Humanitarian earned the Humanthropy Supply Chain Excellence Award. The Big Heart Foundation was collected with the Humanthropy Sustainability Award.

In Adionion, ambassador Arthur Mattli, ambassador of Switzerland in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, was present with the Humanthropy Unity in Diversity Award. The Humanthropy Visionary Award was awarded to Dr. Sonia Ben Jaafar, Chief Executive Officer of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, VAE, for her progressive contributions to humanitarian development.

In the midst of the growing global humanitarian challenges, the industrial sector of the VAE is amazing on the rise as a strategic pillar for stimulating sustainable development and supporting humanitarian and aid activities. Through operation 300 billion, the VAE wants to increase the contribution of the industrial sector to GDP from AED 133 billion to AED 300 billion by 2031.

By strengthening the ‘Made in the Emiralates’ brand and improving the competitiveness of national products, the VAE is cleared the way for a humanitarian-industrial model that are the local production possibilities of production to meet ugent help needs and contribute to the worldwide development of a long TRM. The conference program dealt with critical topics in 64 main sessions and 197 specialized workshops that offer practical training for humanitarian professionals.
